From September 2020 to June 2021, each of the hyperscale cloud service providers (CSPs) or 'hyperscalers' (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Alibaba), have seen a dramatic increase in the number of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) services offered at their company. These services could be anything from platform tools to speech, text, and language to image/video analytics.
As of June 2021, Alibaba still maintained the top position for number of AI/ML service offerings provided by their company. However, Amazon Web Services saw the largest increase in service offerings during the time period examined, going from 25 to 39 in only nine months.
