According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, about 3.2 percent of middle and high school students reported having attempted suicide in the past 12 months. While the percentage of suicide attempts among middle and high school students in South Korea has decreased somewhat compared to 2013, suicide is still the leading cause of death among people aged 10 to 24.
