As of 2020, most French companies believed a reduction of CO₂ emissions would have a positive impact on market demand for their products, according to a survey conducted across European Union countries. A mostly positive impact was also perceived among Nordic countries. In contrast, less than 15 percent of companies surveyed in Greece believed a reduction in emissions would positively impact the demand for their products. In Cyprus, over 27 percent believed the impact would be negative.
