In 2022, about 12.3 percent of people in Japan received by public prosecutors violated the Stimulants Control Acts, the highest share among Special Acts and ordinances violations. The Stimulants Control Acts enacted in 1951 regulates the import, export, possession, manufacturing, distribution, acquisition, and use of stimulant drugs and stimulants raw material.
