Among youths aged 15-29 years in Africa, educational attainment was most advanced in the North African region, as 47 percent of the youths there attained upper secondary or tertiary education in 2020. In the same period, primary or lower secondary education was the most attained level of education across all regions in Africa, peaking in Central Africa at 56 percent.
