Formal and informal business closures in Nigeria 2020, by status
According to a study conducted at the end of 2020, informal businesses were more likely to stay open during the pandemic than formal enterprises. In fact, 33 percent of informal businesses declared they never closed as of the survey period, while the share of formal businesses that continued their operations was 25 percent.
