In 2020, 290 prisoners with disability were counted in Moroccan prisons. Of these, the majority, 95 prisoners, had committed a crime under special law. Additionally, a total of 71 and 52 of the disabled prisoners were charged on crime against persons and finance-related crimes, respectively. Overall, the country registered close to 85 thousand prisoners in the same year.
