As of January 1, 2024, approximately 114.2 million people were registered to vote in Russian elections on the Russian territory, abroad, and in the Kazakh city of Baikonur rented by Russia. Between 2017 and 2023, the registered voter count marked a gradual decrease. In 2024, the number of voters increased because it included the voters in the regions annexed by Russia from Ukraine in the previous year.
