According to a survey on subscription video-on-demand (SvoD) conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2024, approximately 57 percent of Malaysian respondents in the age group of 16 to 24 years old subscribed to SvoD streaming services. Meanwhile, 58 percent of respondents from the age of 55 years stated that they did not subscribe to any SvoD services.
