According to a survey on subscription video on demand (SvoD) conducted by Rakuten Insight in 2024, approximately 37 percent of Malaysian respondents stated that they subscribed to one SvoD service but share the subscription with friends and family members. Meanwhile, the share of SvoD subscribers with more than one accounts and pay the full subscription for all of those accounts reached nine percent.
