Number of foreign students in South Africa 2008-2019
There were 40,712 international students in South Africa as of 2019. Compared to the preceding year, this was a drop of 1,555 students. During the period under review, the number of foreign students in the country declined significantly in 2012 to close to 42,200 from over 70,400 in the previous year.
