According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in May 2021 in South Korea on why they chose not to subscribe to streaming services, more than 45.7 percent of respondents answered they did not subscribe because it was too expensive. Another 25.71 percent stated that they could watch the show they were interested in cheaper or for free through other channels.
