As of 2018, stocks of Moroccan direct investments abroad were highest in the banking and financial sector, reaching 14.8 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD), equivalent to 1.6 billion U.S. dollars. This was followed by the real estate sector, with stocks of the direct investments totaling 10.1 billion MAD, roughly 1.1 million U.S. dollars. On the other hand, transport and computer services registered the lowest levels of investment.
