During a survey conducted on alcohol consumption in Australia during COVID-19 in April 2020, 39 percent of respondents said they purchased around the same amount of alcohol as usual during the pandemic escalation. That same year, about six percent of respondents said they purchased a lot more alcohol than usual during the pandemic escalation.
