As of 2021, there appears to be an overall slower than expected progression to information technology asset management (ITAM) maturity among organizations worldwide. Currently only 37 percent of global respondents are in the defined, managed, or optimized levels, while 82 percent indicate an aspiration to achieve these levels in the future.
