According to a survey carried out in Argentina in 2019, 85.6 percent of respondents with no religious affiliation agreed that a gay or lesbian couple must be able to adopt children. This figure dropped to 61 and 32 percent in the case of Catholics and Evangelists, respectively. Meanwhile, adherents to Evangelism were the ones that agreed the most with a more patriarchal concept of family, where the men is superior to the women (17.5 percent) and where the latter should stay at home to care for the children (37.6). Approximately 41.9 percent of respondents from this religion also believed that abortion should be prohibited.
