As of 2019, 23.1 percent of all ICT students at doctoral or an equivalent level in the European Union (EU28) were women. Cyprus had the highest percentage of women studying ICT at doctoral level with just over 37.9 percent female students, followed by Latvia with around 37.6 percent women.
