Most of the assets managed for individuals by investment advisors registered at the U.S. Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) were attributable to high net worth clients. In of 2022, high net worth individuals' assets accounted for 62 percent of the total individual assets managed by SEC-registered investment advisors. This is despite being a small share of the total individual clients of SEC-registered investment advisors.

therefore, are not included.
The source adds the following information on non-high net worth individuals: The majority of clients (85.8%) were non-high net worth individuals. Generally, these are individuals with less than $1.1 million in assets under management with an adviser or with a net worth of less than $2.2 million, excluding the value of a primary residence
