In 2021, South Korea recorded around 31.6 thousand cases of lung cancer. This type of cancer is one of the most common types in the country. Since 1999, where around 13.2 thousand cases were recorded, there has been a steady increases in lung cancer cases, with numbers more than doubling over the past two decades.
