The Nigerian giant Dangote Group is one of the biggest multi-industry companies in Africa. It was founded by Aliko Dangote at the beginning of the 1980s, the richest man in Nigeria as well as Africa. According to the Nigerian company Nairametrics, between January and September 2020, the profit before taxes of Dangote Sugar refinery added up to about 29 billion Naira, around 70 million U.S. dollars, while after taxes the profit amounted to 26.6 billion Naira, roughly 65 million U.S. dollars.
