According to a survey, 80 percent of the leading Italian retailers introduced smart cashier machines and mobile POS in their stores already before 2020, while another eight percent of them did so afterwards. Digital payment methods were the second-most used front-end technology, being used by 52 percent of retailers already before 2020.
