Kamrup urban in the Assam state in India had age adjusted incidence rate of prostate cancer cases among men of over ten cases per million male adults between the years 2012 and 2016. Thiruvananthapuram district followed with over nine cases per million adults in that time period.

Age-adjusted rates is a cacluation made to afford fairer comparisons between groups with different age distributions. For instance, in a population, the age-adjusted rates for the sample under study would have the same age distribution as the standard populaiton.
