During the period of lockdown in Ghana, around 51.1 thousand permanent workers in agribusiness were laid off. Moreover, between May 2020 and January 2021, approximately 78.4 thousand workers lost their jobs. Overall, according to the same survey, over 19 thousand people employed in agribusiness had to work from home (teleworking) during and after the lockdown due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).
