During the period of lockdown in Ghana, around 51.1 thousand permanent workers in agribusiness were laid off. Moreover, between May 2020 and January 2021, approximately 78.4 thousand workers lost their jobs. Overall, according to the same survey, over 19 thousand people employed in agribusiness had to work from home (teleworking) during and after the lockdown due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The lockdown period spans from March 2020 to April 2020, while the post-lockdown is from May 2020 to January 2021.
