The value of net foreign direct investment (FDI) flow in Egypt reached 3.2 billion U.S. dollars in the first quarter of 2022/2023. As of 2021/2022, the net FDI reached 8.9 billion U.S. dollars. Since 2014, FDI in the country increased yearly dropping in 2017/2018 and 2019/2020. Moreover, in 2020/2021 the net FDI inflow dipped once more to 5.2 billion U.S. dollars.
