Around 49 percent of students admitted into Russian universities in the academic year 2022/2023 received state-funded study places and thus did not have to pay tuition fees. The share of full-tuition admission decreased from approximately 63 percent in the school year 2010/2011 to 51 percent in 2022/2023.
