The total number of people in the labor force in Angola increased by 476.3 thousand people (+3.23 percent) compared to the previous year. With 15.2 million people, the number of people in the labor force thereby reached its highest value in the observed period. Notably, the number of people in the labor force continuously increased over the last years. The labor force is the total number of people aged 15 and older currently employed, those unemployed but seeking work, and first-time job-seekers. It excludes individuals who are unemployed and not seeking employment, such as students and retirees.
