According to a survey among real estate investors in the United States, as of the end of 2020, over half of respondents said that zero to ten percent of their investment portfolio is made up of commercial real estate. Close to nine percent of investors, on the other hand, reported having portfolios with more than 51 percent commercial real estate.
As of 2020, the largest share of commercial real estate investments in the U.S. were made in the multifamily real estate sector. The interest in real estate investments was high throughout 2020 and is expected to remain as such in 2021. According to the source, real estate investors are particularly excited about making online investments.
