The second and third sectors with the highest number of employees working for large enterprises were retail trade and construction, both with over 460,000 workers.

The source adds about the methodology "The data refers to the year 2022 or 2023 for 470 companies, while for the remaining 30 they correspond to 2021 or 2020. The fact that there are companies with data relating to the last two years is due to the fact that on the closing date of the ranking (March 4, 2024) it was not possible to obtain more recent information from the Mercantile Registries.".
