Source of inputs for companies during COVID-19 pandemic in Africa 2021
According to a study conducted between February and March 2021, African businesses that took part in the study claim that 62 percent of the inputs needed are sourced from within their countries, while 13 percent was sourced from within the African continent. Lastly, 25 percent of the inputs were supplied from outside of Africa. Moreover, it is predicted that the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) could lead to more raw materials being supplied between the African Union countries.
