A March 2021 survey revealed that about 61 percent of Chinese respondents agreed they were more concerned about their health and safety than environmental issues involving single-use material. This percentage was reportedly higher than the global average of approximately 52 percent. On the contrary, just eight percent of respondents in China said their sense of environmental responsibility outweighed concerns over health and safety regarding single-use materials.
