As of July 2020, Eastern Africa hosted the highest number of international migrants in Africa, which exceeded 7.68 million. Western Africa followed with approximately 7.55 million migrants within its borders. Instead, Southern and Northern Africa were the regions with the smallest stock of international migrants on the continent.
