A March 2021 survey found that 61 percent of Dutch online users used social networks to stay in touch with friends. This aspect of communication became even more important during the Coronavirus crisis (COVID-19). Consenquently the second reason for using the networks was to stay informed about what his friends and acquaintances were doing, as well to relax.
