As of the third quarter of 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) at basic prices in Ghana reached around 85 billion Ghanaian cedis (GHS), corresponding to around 14.7 billion U.S. dollars. This was a slight decrease from the previous quarter, when some 81.4 GHS (roughly 14.1 billion U.S. dollars) were accumulated. Compared to the total value added in the first quarter of 2013, which equaled approximately 29.4 billion U.S. dollars, Ghana's GDP has increased tremendously.
