Opinion on hunting with hounds among French people 2021, by gender
"Chasse à courre" (hunting with hounds) is known under many names: vènerie, or "chasse par force" (hunting by force), for example. It is a hunting method consisting of pursuing a wild animal with a pack of hounds until it is taken or lost. The conditions of both the hunting hounds and the wild animal targeted have been discussed over the years, with many people denouncing the sufferings of the animals in question. On average, French people are mostly against this type of hunting.
