Some 74 percent of adults with a university degree or higher had a financial account in Angola between November 2019 and January 2020. Elevated levels of financial inclusion were registered among Angolans with higher educational levels. For those who concluded secondary school, account ownership was at 58 percent. By contrast, amid adults with just the primary, 27 percent had an account with a financial institution. The share declined to only 8.8 percent between adults without formal education. Overall, 49 percent of the population in Angola was financially included by the same period.
