Status of businesses in Nigeria in January 2021
Up to 23 percent of non-farm Nigerian businesses reported being closed in January 2021. This was a lesser rate than that of businesses that reported being active since June 2020 (26.5 percent). Only very few businesses that were non-farm based (3.3 percent) said they started operating after December 2020. Other businesses opened for at least one month between July and December and made up to 26 percent of the respondents.
