In 2020, approximately 7.2 percent of all frontline workers in the United States were living below the poverty line. Additionally, around 15.9 percent of frontline workers in the building cleaning services industry lived below the poverty line.
Frontline workers are those that work in areas that come into constant contact wth people and are therefore considered to have an increased exposure to COVID-19.
