Number of transplants in Spain 2012-2023

In 2023, the number of organ transplants performed in Spain amounted to over 5,800, up from around 5,400 registered a year earlier. Kidney transplantation was the most common organ transplant in Spain in 2023, with approximately 3,700 procedures. That year, doctors performed over 1,200 liver transplants, 479 lung transplants, 325 heart transplants, 100 pancreas transplants, and seven intestinal transplants.
