Household gross saving rate in the European Union (EU-27) reached an average of 13.7 percent in the last quarter of 2024. The saving rate varied considerably by country. For instance, in Germany it reached over 21 percent, while it amounted to six percent in Poland. In 2022, saving rates were lower than average due to the high inflation and the increasing cost of living.
