In 2020, China secured 3,241 merger and acquisition (M&A) deals as well as the largest total deal value in the Asia Pacific region. Compared to 2019, most countries in Asia Pacific saw declines in the number of M&A deals except Taiwan and New Zealand, with 22 and four percent increases respectively.
