In a 2020 survey conducted among mobile phone and smartphone owners in Mexico, nearly a quarter of respondents said they believe there are health risks associated with the use of 5G, as opposed to 31 percent who somewhat or strongly disagreed with this statement. The same study showed that there is still a lack of knowledge and understanding of this technology in the North American country, as more than half of those surveyed also stated not knowing enough about 5G.
