Since its introduction in the 2019 soccer season, referees in Brazil have been using Video Assistant Referees (VAR) technology to support their decisions when the the first observation was unclear. In the 2023 edition of the highest professional soccer championship, known as Brasileirão, Goiás wast the Brazilian club with the highest number of decisions changed after revising the VAR tool, with 18 changes.
