Major League Baseball teams have to hand over million of dollars every year to keep hold of their prized assets - the players. In 2023, Shohei Ohtani signed a 10-year contract extension to keep him at the Los Angeles Dodgers until 2033. This contract was worth an estimated 700 million U.S. dollars.
