Change in revenue of sporting goods retailers in France 2019-2020
It seems that the containment implemented to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic has been very painful for the sporting goods retail trade. Despite the development of online sales, results for the sector as a whole were historically low in March and April 2020. However, business had progressively started to recover. As early as May, despite consumer fears of going back to in enclosed establishments open to the public, it appears that the sector's revenue had returned to normal. This momentum continued in the following months, with results significantly higher than in 2019.
