Average equity raised by startups pre- and post-acceleration globally 2020, by gender

In 2020, the average equity raised in startups led by men after participation in a business accelerator was 2.6 times higher than the equity raised by female-led startups post-acceleration. Prior to participation in an accelerator, male-led startups raised an average of about 45,700 U.S. dollars and female-led startups raised an average of about 25,400 U.S. dollars.

After participating in the accelerator, startups led by women raised an average equity of around 47,800 U.S. dollars, a growth of about 22,400 U.S. dollars. Average equity raised by male-led startups post-acceleration amounted to around 104,300 U.S. dollars, a growth of about 58,600 U.S. dollars.
