In 2019, according to a survey led by the Fédération des usagers de la bicyclette (French Federation of cyclists), 12 percent of the respondents rated the condition of the cycling routes on a scale 1 out of 6, meaning that these routes are not suitable for their cycling activities. On the other hand, 3 percent rate it on a scale 6 out of 6.
The source stated that the threshold for a positive response was 3.5 points out of 6 possible.

* This survey includes a series of 26 questions classified in five categories: general feeling, safety, comfort, importance of bicycles, parking.
For each of these questions, an answer between 1 (the worst) and 6 (the best) is expected.
