In 2020, startups in the United States were more likely to have a woman fill an executive position if the startup had at least one woman on the founding team. Almost half of startups with a female founder also had a female CEO, while only two percent of startups without a female founder had a female CEO. Compared to startups without female founders, those that had female founders were also more likely to have a woman leading human resources as well as sales.
