In a survey conducted in 2020 in the Philippines, regarding online and digital channels for contact-reduction during the COVID-19 pandemic situation, approximately 37 percent of the respondents booking their travel arrangements independently stated that they managed their travel bookings online directly with the establishments. By comparison, 25 percent of travelers who preferred travel packages stated that they managed booking via a travel agent.
