During the period 2018/2019, around 58 percent of survey respondents in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region thought that they will suffer retaliation if they report corruption. On average, 37 percent of respondents in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region thought that ordinary citizens cannot make a difference in fighting corruption.
