As of the second half of 2020, most businesses in Morocco were in operation, following the lifting of strict coronavirus (COVID-19) confinement regulations in the country. However, according to a survey involving 3,600 enterprises, business activities in the country hugely declined especially with regard to micro-enterprises (84 percent), and small and medium-sized enterprises (83 percent). On the other hand, large enterprises recorded a rise in activity growth by six percent and a decline by 70 percent.
Overall, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has had economic impacts on the country since its emergence in March 2020.
